United Church of Christ minister Carlton Pearson, a former protege of Oral Roberts, said Richard Roberts was "born into privilege... What others may call extravagance he may not see it as extravagant." According to CNN, Pearson said he was disappointed but not surprised by the allegations, explaining, "These kinds of things are common among family-owned and operated businesses and ministries. They don't cross every T and dot every I."[28]
Once you've made a few friends, their posts will begin populating your Nextdoor news feed, an experience much like using Facebook. However, rather than random musings and photos of lunches, you'll see posts relevant to local people. Need a babysitter at short notice? Spotted a crime that your neighbors should be aware of? Nextdoor can help. While you don't need to turn these interactions into face-to-face meetings, that can certainly help you get to know your neighbors a little better.
While you may think Twitter is only for people who like to complain about each of life’s annoyances, it can be surprisingly rewarding. For one, it’s one of the best places to keep on top of the news. During an event or incident, news typically, for better or worse, spreads through Twitter before any other social network. And it’s without question the best place to learn what President Trump is up to.
Plans for research administration. Research administration involves both proposal generation and grant awards administration. The research administration plan should describe those activities conducted by the ORU, the range of grants to be administered (individual investigator grants vs. program projects grants vs. training grants). A financial plan to cover the administrative costs associated with grant proposals and administration also should be developed.

Zcash [ZEC] is built to secure your payment history which is exposed by other cryptocurrencies — even the first known. Zcash somewhat extends Bitcoin and that being said, it has two types of addresses — transparent (work just like Bitcoin’s) and private (the new addition). It also features shielded transaction which hides sender, receiver and amount.

The Stellar development team, headed by Jed McCaleb and Joyce Kim, continues to make inroads in the cryptomarket. Both of these individuals are well-known in the crypto community, and they have used their experience to create a unique Bitcoin alternative. Before Stellar’s official release, the team created a website called “Secret Bitcoin Project” to find interested parties willing to test Stellar’s capabilities.

I agree with Liz and will share it too, on my TL on FB is a mile long and I don’t share all I see but still enjoy what I have the time for, told twitter to delete my account two months ago, they haven’t! Still get friends requests etc, I pretty sure they shadow banned me for no reason at all, I hadn’t posted anything scurrilous, racist, used bad language etc at all annoying! It would be nice just to use one of these to keep in touch with close family and friends and keep the TL more manageable! regards, Ian.

Path is a good Facebook alternative for users who care less about a large community and instead place far more value on having a selective friendship group to keep in contact with. At first, the number of friends per profile on the platform was actually limited to 150 contacts (though this has since been lifted). The app is available for iOS and Android.

The campus was built beginning in 1963 with a noted futuristic look and architecture. Architects Stanfield, Imel & Walton of Tulsa designed the 1963 master plan but most of the buildings were designed by Tulsa architect Frank Wallace.[66] Interviewed in 2010, Wallace characterized his ORU buildings as "sculptures", noting that an inspiration for his artistic sensibility was "whittling since I was a kid".[67] It has also been suggested that the buildings may have been inspired by Tulsa's art deco architectural heritage[68][69] along with Bruce Goff's individualistic style and creative use of new materials.[70] By 2007 the campus was described as "a perfect representation of the popular modernistic architecture of the time... the set of The Jetsons" but also "shabby" and "dated, like Disney's Tomorrowland."[24][32][71] Maintenance of the many unique but aging buildings, structures and architectural details on campus was cited as a growing problem for the university.[72] In 2008, $10 million was set aside from Green family donations for long deferred maintenance on many campus buildings, along with the prayer tower. Another $10 million was donated by the Green family and budgeted for work during the summer of 2009.[73]

Litecoin, launched in 2011, was among the initial cryptocurrencies following bitcoin and has often been referred to as “silver to bitcoin’s gold.” It was created by Charlie Lee, an MIT graduate and former Google engineer. Litecoin is based on an open source global payment network that is not controlled by any central authority and uses "scrypt" as a proof of work, which can be decoded with the help of CPUs of consumer grade. Although Litecoin is like bitcoin in many ways, it has a faster block generation rate and hence offers a faster transaction confirmation. Other than developers, there are a growing number of merchants who accept Litecoin. As of October 5, 2018, Litecoin had a market cap of $3.40 billion and a per token value of $58.09.

In that case the form must first be deleted from the clinic setup, and then actually deleted using this action. Furthermore, stellar extends the lightning-quick transactions to fiat currencies. For example, users can swiftly convert dollars to euros, rather than relying on cumbersome and expensive banking institutions. Recognizing the potential, International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:IBM) uses the stellar blockchain to develop a payments system with large banks.

Launched in 2015, Ethereum is a decentralized software platform that enables Smart Contracts and Distributed Applications (DApps) to be built and run without any downtime, fraud, control or interference from a third party. The applications on ethereum are run on its platform-specific cryptographic token, ether. Ether is like a vehicle for moving around on the ethereum platform, and is sought by mostly developers looking to develop and run applications inside ethereum, or now by investors looking to make purchases of other digital currencies using ether. During 2014, ethereum launched a pre-sale for ether which received an overwhelming response; this helped to usher in the age of the initial coin offering (ICO). According to ethereum, it can be used to “codify, decentralize, secure and trade just about anything.” Following the attack on the DAO in 2016, Ethereum was split into Ethereum (ETH) and Ethereum Classic (ETC). As of October 5, 2018, Ethereum (ETH) had a market cap of $22.97 billion and a per token value of $224.42.

Here is one more popular network for sharing photos with friends on social media. You might be aware of the fact that Flickr is designed by Yahoo and it is serving large user community from past several years. In the speed of popularity as a photo sharing social media site, it is competing with Instagram and Pinterest. Many professionals believe that Flickr is one of the best social media sites for save video sharing, album creation and to show off your artistic photography skills. Yahoo keeps on updating this platform with all new features to make it suitable as per needs of current generation. Flickr allow users to upload around 1000GB stills without making any payment over flickr.

Litecoin is often described as the silver to bitcoin's gold. It's been around since 2011 and has been helped by not having any of bitcoin's transaction speed limits. Despite those advantages however, it has much smaller trading volumes which means even more volatility than bitcoin. Its faster transaction speed could also be negated by a smart bitcoin reform.

Then again, Monero and its privacy coin peers are also accused of being the crypto choice of criminals due to their ability to obfuscate the movement of money. Likewise, tougher regulations from the likes of South Korea, which requires the identity of virtual currency traders to be confirmed prior to linking a domestic bank account to a cryptocurrency exchange, could impede Monero and other privacy coins. If Monero can somehow clear concerns about anonymity, it could give bitcoin a run for its money.
Now imagine that instead of you being just one person, we could make you into millions of people. And we would tell the millions of you to go and find the way out of the maze.  Each one of you would go in a different direction at the same time at incredible speed.  Certainly one of you would find the exit to the maze in a matter of milliseconds.  That is quantum computing.

An Organized Research Unit (ORU) is an academic unit the University has established to provide a supportive infrastructure for interdisciplinary research complementary to the academic goals of departments of instruction and research. The functions of an ORU are to facilitate research and research collaborations; disseminate research results through research conferences, meetings, and other activities; strengthen graduate and undergraduate education by providing students with training opportunities and access to facilities; seek extramural research funds; and carry out university and public service programs related to the ORU's research expertise. An ORU may not offer formal courses for credit for students of the University or for the public unless it has been specifically empowered to do so by the President after consultation with the Academic Senate and the appropriate Chancellors.

Foursquare is a location-based social network that lets you "check in" at venues using your phone or mobile device. You can then connect with other Foursquare users to share information about where you are and what you are doing. The program also allows you to search your location for the restaurants, bars, shops and other amenities, and receive personalized recommendations based on other users' experiences.
Realistically, Facebook has the advantage of scale – everyone is on it, and it’s not going to be easy to get enough people to switch over to a new network to make it a viable alternative. Networks that focus on niche communities may have better luck, but for average users, the best option is probably to pick a network that appeals to you, join up, explore, and cross-post with your regular social media. Like it or not, Facebook and Twitter are dominant, and any serious competitor is going to have to integrate with them to at least some degree to make switching a softer move for the users.
While the ceiling for profit is certainly higher on new cryptocurrencies which you can pick up at a fraction of a dollar, in this guide we’ll be recommending tried and tested coins which are less likely to bottom out and ruin your investment. We’ll be looking for established coins that have proved themselves over time as viable stores of value and transactional mediums.
The self-proclaimed “front page of the internet” is a social news aggregate and discussion forum that’s been around since 2005. Registered users (redditors) submit content in a variety of subjects—news, science, music, books, video games, etc.—and other redditors vote the content up or down. Submissions with more upvotes remain nearer to the top of their subject board, or subreddit, while those with enough up votes hit the site’s front page.

And then there’s Google-owned YouTube. Once a way to communicate news and ideas to the world via video, it has more or less blacklisted many non-traditional ideologies it doesn’t like—for example, they’ve hidden LGBTQ content and censored or demonetized channels they consider to be ‘alt right’. No surprises there, since Google has also lowered the rankings of any sites they feel go against their political position, calling those ‘fake news’. Right now, their focus is on anything against the mainstream narratives on political issues like Syria or Russia. But how long before they bury alternative health news that threatens mainstream medicine, information about veganism that threatens beef and milk lobby groups, or even corporate disasters similar to what happened at Rana Plaza? We have many reasons to worry.

Whistleblower Edward Snowden has even decried Facebook as ‘surveillance disguised as social media‘, since the CIA and NSA have long been monitoring all of our activities on that platform – every like, post and comment. Using nine internet firms including Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Yahoo, the NSA tracked online communications in a sweeping surveillance programme known as Prism. Britain’s electronic eavesdropping agency GCHQ was also accused of gathering information on the online companies via Prism. No matter where you live or who you are, they know your name, address, and even have a database to be able to spot you via your personal pictures anywhere in the world, thanks to CCTV cameras and Facebook’s facial recognition software.
All students are required to sign a pledge stating they will live according to the university's honor code. Prohibited activities include lying, cursing, smoking, drinking, and a range of sexual acts including homosexual behavior and sex outside marriage.[62] In early 2003, the student dress code was relaxed for the first time in 40 years and described as business casual. For most of the school's history, men were required to wear collared shirts and ties, while women were required to wear skirts (an exception for winter months was added in 2000). In 2006, campus-wide dress code rules were eased further, allowing students to wear jeans to class and dress more casually in non-academic settings. Since 2009, men are allowed to have neatly trimmed facial hair. Restrictions on men concerning hair length were relaxed in 2013.[63][64]

But Litecoin isn’t perfect, either. Even though its founder, Charlie Lee, is working full-time to further the development of Litecoin and facilitate new merchant enrollment, it’s had a few flubs. For example, Lee touted the development and expected launch of LitePay, a payment platform specifically designed to support Litecoin, though developed independently of Litecoin. Unfortunately, LitePay never lived up to the hype. In fact, it never even launched, with LitePay CEO Kenneth Asare informing Litecoin of his intention to halt work on the platform and sell the company.

Minds enables growth of connections to occur quickly if you are highly involved on the site and produce good content, when taking into consideration the quantity of users on the site. Boosting of content and profile/channel views can be achieved (via a points system) and not merely bought. Minds also clearly rewards users with points for using the social media site itself, whether in accessing the site each hour or in uploading rich media content such as graphics or videos, unlike Facebook.
