Twitter isn't very similar to Facebook. It's based on sharing short messages. You can follow the messages of people you like, and have them follow you. Twitter was made during the SMS age. It has struggled to seem modern like WhatsApp, which now offers video. Twitter has struggled to make a profit too; something tells me it won't be around for too many years more in its present form. External companies are also looking at reining in the data that Facebook has access to. Mozilla, which makes the Firefox web browser, has just launched a Facebook Container Extension (a downloadable plug-in) that prevents Facebook from tracking you across other websites. Other plug-ins, such as Ghostery for Google’s Chrome browser (also available for other browsers) and Facebook Disconnect 2016, offer their own tracker-blocking features.

The new year was unkind to Bitcoin, which quickly dipped to $15,000, then $10,000, and fell to nearly $6,000. It recovered from there but has spent much of the past month dipping back below $7,000. Now, though, Bitcoin is suddenly a hot topic once more, with the cryptocurrency jumping $1,000 in less than an hour recently, and volume suddenly recovering.

Originally called Xcoin and then Darkcoin, Dash has been around longer than most, having been officially launched in 2014. It quickly gained popularity early in its lifecycle and has maintained much of it since, for its advocacy of owner privacy, through its “PrivateSend” function. Effectively acting like an official tumbler, it makes it possible for Dash transactions to be further obfuscated and thereby provides an additional layer of anonymizing privacy for owners.
The steem coin is the underlying cryptocurrency of Steemit, a blockchain-powered social media platform. Unlike Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) or Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR), regular folks can earn money through posting original content. Before you dismiss Steemit as a too-good-to-be-true fairy tale, take a look at the network’s top earners. With just one post, you can make hundreds of dollars, even thousands.
It’s hard to imagine any asset priced below a dollar as having a solid profitability potential. Hardened market investors understand that penny stocks are usually only attractive because of their unit price. However, with youth comes blissful ignorance. While older investors avoid cheap investments like the plague, Millennial cryptocurrency investors run to them like flies on stink.
Chief Justice John Roberts referred 15 judicial-misconduct complaints against newly confirmed Justice Brett Kavanaugh to a federal appeals court in Colorado, The Washington Post reports. Justice Roberts reportedly sent a letter to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit on Wednesday and said he selected the Denver court to “accept the transfer” of the complaints. The complaints reportedly relate to “statements Kavanaugh made during his Senate confirmation hearings” and were originally filed to a federal appeals court in Washington, D.C., where Kavanaugh served as a judge for 12 years.
Wonder who gave gab.ai the “reputation” of being alt-right? (Twitter) I suppose a mention is better than nothing. Twitter bans people for disliking a movie. You can block people or words you’re not comfortable with, but without banning people for hurting your feelings. MeWe, been there for years. It’s a chaotic mess. Gab is self-funded by premium users. How are the others funded? If it’s free, then YOU’RE the product. Just because it’s not FB, doesn’t mean you’re safe.
RA TCP ORM subscriber This protocol is used in conjunction with the RA REG, RA EXAMINED, and RA CANCEL event protocols. It is used by the VISTA HL7 package to send ORM messages to TCP/IP recipients. This protocol should be entered in the ITEM multiple field of those event point protocols if this type of messaging scenerio is used at a facility. This is part of the file set-up to enable HL7 message flow when exams are registered, cancelled, and when they reach the status flagged as 'examined' by the site. Q Q
Lindsay Roberts, who is referred to in ORU publicity as the university's "first lady," is accused of spending tens of thousands of dollars of university funds on clothes, awarding nonacademic scholarships to the children of family friends and sending text messages, mostly sent between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m., on university-issued cell phones to people described in the lawsuit as "underage males." The lawsuit also alleges a longtime maintenance employee was fired for the purpose of giving the job to an underage male friend of Lindsay Roberts.
excellent question, unfortunately no. Even Steam stopped accepting BitCoin for digital downloadable games. BitCoin is just an investment assest, more like a huge bubble. Remember oil and gold? Both rallied to a new all time high and collapsed. At least Gold and Oil have utilities value to it, BitCoin on the other hand… is backed by nothing, just like fiat currency. Those that disagree are BitCoin speculators that wants everyone to join the fun so that their ‘wealth’ can increase by X fold.
One of the newest digital currencies to make our list is EOS. Launched in June of 2017, EOS was created by cryptocurrency pioneer Dan Larimer. Before his work on EOS, Larimer founded the digital currency exchange Bitshares as well as the blockchain-based social media platform Steemit. Like other cryptocurrencies on this list, EOS is designed after ethereum, so it offers a platform on which developers can build decentralized applications. EOS is notable for many other reasons, though. First, its initial coin offering was one of the longest and most profitable in history, raking in a record $4 billion or so in investor funds through crowdsourcing efforts lasting a year. EOS offers a delegated proof-of-stake mechanism which it hopes to be able to offer scalability beyond its competitors. EOS consists of EOS.IO, similar to the operating system of a computer and acting as the blockchain network for the digital currency, as well as EOS coins. EOS is also revolutionary because of its lack of a mining mechanism to produce coins. Instead, block producers generate blocks and are rewarded in EOS tokens based on their production rates. EOS includes a complex system of rules to govern this process, with the idea being that the network will ultimately be more democratic and decentralized than those of other cryptocurrencies. As of October 5, 2018, EOS had a market cap of $5.21 billion and a per token value of $5.75.
Due to the Ethereum features and its potential to change the world forever, it has caught everyone’s attention including corporations like Microsoft and individuals like you and me. It also attracts developers to use its features to create decentralized apps using smart contracts that run on the Ethereum network, thus increasing its popularity and value.
Additionally, Binance intends to use 20% of its profits to “repurchase” 50% of its outstanding Binance Coin. Known as “coin burn,” this process involves sending these coins to an address with an unobtainable private key. By taking these coins out of circulation, each remaining coin becomes scarcer, which is expected to result in a higher per-token price. The idea is similar to a publicly traded stock repurchasing its own shares, with a few twists.
Much like Monero, ZCash is a cryptocurrency with privacy and owner security as its core tenet. It allows for the obfuscation of transaction details such as sender, recipient, and the amount being transacted. That privacy focus and the general upswing of interest in cryptocurrencies in 2017 saw ZEC rise in value from around $50 at the start of the year, to near-$900 at its peak. It has since settled to around half of that, but has still demonstrated real financial growth over the past few months.
As much as bitcoin had a great 2017, Ethereum’s year was just as impressive. It went from a currency worth single digits at the start of the year to being worth more than $1,200 in the early days of the next. It also proved itself to have a greater ceiling (at least for now) than bitcoin in terms of handling transactions. In early 2018 more than four times the number of Ethereum transactions take place every day and they still happen far faster than bitcoin. Transaction costs are much lower too.
